The Salvation Army of Northwest Arkansas will be providing free Thanksgiving meals on Thursday, November 23 at two locations – one in Fayetteville and one in Bentonville.
Thanksgiving meals are open to anyone in the community who would like to have a meal this holiday. All ages are welcome. A complete Thanksgiving meal including turkey, rolls, potatoes, pies and more will be provided. Meals will be served by staff and volunteers at both locations. In addition, holiday meals are being delivered to first-responders in Fayetteville and Bentonville who are working on Thanksgiving Day.
This year, thanks to a large donation from the Hanes Company we also will provide new underwear and socks to homeless guest who might attend. This fall, The Salvation Area of Northwest Arkansas was chosen as the beneficiary of the national “Hanes Earth Day & Sock Drive.” In all, 83 new pairs of underwear and 6251 pairs were delivered to our command center just in time for Thanksgiving and the winter weather.
