Fayetteville, AR — Golfers can grab their gear and hit the course on Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 for The 9th Annual Salvation Army Golf for Good Tournament, benefitting The Salvation Army of Northwest Arkansas.
This year’s tournament will be held at Paradise Valley Golf Course, located at 3728 Old Missouri Rd, Fayetteville. Proceeds will help The Salvation Army of NWA continue to provide needed services to our local community. During 2017, we provided more than 24,000 nights of shelter, served 106,000 meals, ensured that 2,200 kids received Christmas gifts, and celebrated as 17 men graduated from our addiction recovery program. Our 2018 Golf Tournament is not just about golf but is also a key part of meeting the needs here in NWA.
“A large portion of this year’s golf tournament will help us provide additional Emergency Shelter space for our community. This is a growing need that we are working to help meet. Every day, we receive calls from people in need of food and shelter but our space is limited. As we look toward 2019, we want to be a place where people can turn when they need it most,” shared Captain Joshua Robinett, NWA Area Commander. “Through a simple game of golf, you can be part of making a difference. We are excited to host our 9th annual tournament this fall and are inviting everyone to join us in ‘Doing the Most Good.'”
This year’s tournament will include the option of a morning or afternoon flight. The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. or 1 p.m. Prizes will be provided for the top teams for the morning and afternoons. Pre-registration is required. The entry fee is $600 for a four-person team. Entry fees include player gift bags, greens fees, a cart, breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages.
