Lieutenants Nic and Emily Arroqui, Fayetteville Corps Officers
I am Lieutenant Nicolas Arroqui. I was born in Uruguay and moved to Georgia when I was ten years old. I became a Christian in my teenage years and always enjoyed what the Salvation Army did for the youth. My family was very poor when we first arrived and the Army was always there for us. I met The Salvation Army through their outreach programs at a soccer park. They would often come to give waters, lunch, have open airs, or just hang out with us and our families. The always offered to help our community in any way they could. These are some of the reasons why I joined the Salvation Army. We are preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and meeting human needs without discrimination.
I am Lieutenant Emily Arroqui, and I am from the beautiful state of North Carolina. I was raised in a Salvationist home, and I have attended The Salvation Army all of my life. I am a fifth generation Salvationist. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always loved Jesus and all I wanted was to bring people to Christ. God called me to be a Salvation Army officer at a very young age, and He has given me a great passion for The Salvation Army and our work. Today, I am a Salvation Army officer because of the work of God in my life and because of the commitment I made to follow Him all my days. God shall have all there is of me.
Recently, we got married and this is our first appointment since completing our studies in The Salvation Army Evangeline Booth College. We are thrilled to be here, we love the people, scenery, nature, climate, food, and just about everything else in NW Arkansas. We praise God for this privilege and calling to ministry in the Fayetteville Corps (Church). We are most excited about building new relationships and sharing the love of Christ with the people in our community. Please join us for Worship on Sunday at 11am.
