Walmart Foundation Awards $37K Grant to Salvation Army Music Programs


FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- – The Salvation Army was awarded $37,000 for its youth music and arts programs in Fayetteville, Springdale and Rogers.

The grant was awarded by the Walmart Foundation.

The Salvation Army offers training in music education, piano, brass band, concert band, dance, drama and guitar. The investment in the services will help at-risk youth develop a fundamental love for music, according to the Salvation Army.

The grant will help provide new musical instruments and instructional supplies. The grant will also help provide 15 scholarships for local youth to attend The Salvation Army Conservatory camp in Oklahoma.
